Adams Street Partners, LLC is one of the largest managers of private equity investments in the world and has one of the longest histories. Together with its predecessor organizations, Adams Street Partners has been investing in private equity partnerships since 1979, managing direct investments in private equity since 1972 and is credited with establishing the first private equity fund of funds for institutional investors. The firm currently has over 80 employees and $12 billion of assets under management. Adams Street Partners has offices in Chicago, Palo Alto, London and Singapore.

The following individuals serve on the board of Adams Harris on behalf of Adams Street Partners:

Thomas D. Berman, Partner, Direct Investments
Drawing on more than 25 years of experience, Thomas Berman is responsible for sourcing and screening private equity investments, negotiating investment terms and financial structures, assisting portfolio companies and maintaining venture, entrepreneurial and investor contacts. He sits on the boards of comScore Networks and the Illinois Venture Capital Association, and is responsible for such successful investments as: Creo Products (bought by Kodak), Depotech, Harris Interactive (NASDAQ: HPOL), IC Works, Jefferson Wells (bought by ManPower), Magnavox Electronic Systems, Netegrity (bought by CA), SDL (bought by JDS Uniphase) and WallData. He holds bachelor and master’s degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Jeffrey T. Diehl, Partner, Direct Investments
Jeffrey Diehl is responsible for sourcing, screening, and executing investments in venture and growth oriented private companies. He focuses on software, IT-enabled services, and business services. He serves on the boards of ExtraQuest, MachineryLink and MxLogic, and is a Board Observer at Knightsbridge Solutions, NetContinuum and SPS Commerce. Jeffrey has 11 years of investment experience. He holds a BS from Cornell University and an MBA from Harvard.
